Artist Landon Khiry has paved a unique path for himself by defying societal norms and continuing to embrace his love for creativity. Born and raised in the bustling city of New York, he went from an uncertain artistic start to immense success as a mixed-media artist. Landon Khiry’s story is one of pure resilience and dedication to his craft. 
After Landon graduated high school, he made the decision to ditch the college route. At times he admitted he didn’t feel much prepared for college and it was better for him to spend time pursuing his creative endeavors than a path of uncertainty. “I don’t like putting the blame on people, but [my school] didn’t do the best at prepping us to get to that phase. College was nothing like what I was experiencing at all.” Landon focused on exploring his creative endeavors to discover his true passion. He started with modeling and often found it difficult because he craved individuality in each image that he had taken. Although he spent the majority of his youth in love with basketball and the NBA, his small hobby of collaging soon became his all the time passion. He reflected on a time after he did a mock cover for an L.A artist, and ever since then his plane took off. With so much versatility in the art he produces, right now he focuses on mixed media collages, infusing his work with texture and realism.
Regarding Landon’s journey one of the main lessons he spoke of was the importance of resilience. “I had to learn that everyone’s not going to like what you do. I stopped caring about what people had to think, especially if it was negative. I started to appreciate the whole other group of people who supported me.” His dedication to individuality and authenticity shines through his work. He admits that the world has many recycled ideas, but the beauty is making it your own and bringing something new to the table. With this, Landon also emphasizes the importance of having a creative pace. It is important to keep the ideas flowing, just as much as it is to maintain the style in your work. While his career has brought him very special opportunities, he stresses patience and not over-working yourself for your art.
As far as next steps, Landon has so many great things in the works and new pieces to look out for. “My management, they’re amazing people. They’re here to take over the world, and people should look out for them. It’s gonna be dope to see what they do.” Landon encourages young creators to work hard, and just continue creating, trusting that their skills will develop over time. As Landon says, "You’re going to get what you’re supposed to get.” With this mindset, Landon Khiry serves as an inspiration for aspiring artists and individuals striving to embrace their creativity and pursue their passions wholeheartedly.
